Over 35 million streams in the past two years isn't bad for a short-lived, long-disbanded, briefly-reunited local act. The story starts in 1971, when Minneapolis had a booming R&B scene and The Valdons-a four-man vocal group-were it's crown jewel. They'd just dropped their debut 7", but despite serious local heat, it never broke nationally, and the group soon split. Decades later, The Valdons have become a sensation in both the Lowrider Souldies and Northern Soul worlds. Now Secret Stash Records is proud to present the first-ever reproduction of their debut single: "All Day Long" b/w "Love Me, Leave Me"-original copies can fetch $600+ on the collectors market. This fully licensed reissue was cut from the original master tapes and is limited to 500 hand-numbered copies. When they're gone, they're gone.
