Circa Waves' sixth album Death & Love is a euphoric, life-affirming response to frontman Kieran Shudall's brush with mortality. After a shocking heart diagnosis and emergency surgery, Shudall channeled the experience into a raw and cathartic collection of anthemic indie bangers - equal parts nostalgia, reflection, and celebration. Inspired by early-2000s nights out in Liverpool and driven by a desire to make the music the band truly loves, the album embraces both joy and vulnerability. From the punchy optimism of "Everything Changed" to the intimate lullaby "Blue Damselfly," it's a record about facing fear, rediscovering purpose, and dancing through the chaos. "Let's Leave Together" captures the anxiety of social scenes and the quiet comfort of connection, while "Cherry Bomb" explodes with festival-ready energy - a signal of the band's finest form to date. Death & Love is an incredibly powerful snapshot in time - a reflection on a moment of true terror, and the joy of coming through the other side. It's a brave and remarkable next step for a band in the finest form of their career. Produced by Shudall, Death & Love captures the spirit of a band that knows exactly who they are: the soundtrack to living in the moment, with the people that matter most.t
