The Prophet-6 from Sequential is a powerhouse analog polysynth that channels the iconic vibe of the Prophet-5 while elevating it with modern sound-shaping capabilities. With true voltage-controlled oscillators, filters and amps, the Prophet-6 delivers lush, punchy analog tones that will inspire your playing and productions. Its semi-weighted keyboard with velocity and aftertouch provides a responsive, expressive feel perfect for serious musicians and producers.
At its core, the Prophet-6 boasts two newly designed discrete voltage-controlled oscillators per voice, each with continuously variable waveshapes including triangle, sawtooth and pulse. These thick, organic oscillators feed into dual resonant filters—a four-pole low-pass inspired by the classic Prophet-5 and a high-pass. Voltage-controlled amplifiers complete the all-analog signal path, ensuring every note rings with the warmth and presence that makes analog synths so special. With up to six voices of polyphony, you'll have plenty of room to craft lush evolving pads, thick basslines and harmonically complex leads.
Rhythmic possibilities abound with the Prophet-6's polyphonic step sequencer. Program up to 64 steps and up to six notes per step, including rests. The arpeggiator also lets you trigger patterns and sequences in real time, syncing to the internal or external MIDI clock for tight timing. These tools let you quickly generate complex rhythmic ideas that would be nearly impossible to play in real time. Modulate them with the Poly Mod section's multiple routing options for truly dynamic, evolving sequences.
The Poly Mod section on the Prophet-6 provides extensive modulation routing options inspired by the original Prophet-5. Use the bi-polar filter envelope and oscillator 2 as sources to modulate oscillator 1's frequency, shape and pulse width, as well as the cutoff of both filters. Unison mode combines all six voices for huge mono leads and bass. With all these powerful mod routings at your fingertips, you'll be able to effortlessly craft complex, animated sounds that shift and morph like no other analog synth.
Enhance your analog tones with the Prophet-6's dual digital effects section, which offers studio-quality reverbs, delays (standard and BBD), chorus and phase shifter. The 24-bit/48kHz resolution ensures pristine fidelity while true bypass maintains a full analog dry path. An independent 100% analog stereo distortion effect serves up gritty textures to add bite to your patches. With such a potent effects suite on tap, you can sculpt complete soundscapes from the Prophet-6 alone.
This essentials bundle equips you with everything needed to integrate the Prophet-6 into your setup. The included Proline PSS20 sustain pedal features a durable chassis and switchable polarity for universal compatibility. The KT7800 X-style bench provides a comfortable, height-adjustable throne. And the heavy-duty Frameworks keyboard stand accommodates the Prophet-6 at both seated and standing heights while its built-in bubble level ensures perfect positioning. With this bundle, you'll be ready to command the Prophet-6 in the studio, on stage and beyond.
