Виниловая пластинка Steve Spacek - Space Shift [New Vinyl LP] Colored Vinyl, Ltd Ed

Genre: Electronic

Release Year: 2024

Released in 2005, 'Spaceshift' marks the groundbreaking debut solo album from Steve Spacek, the visionary UK-born, Australia-based vocalist, producer, and electronic music innovator. Known for his distinctive, soulful voice and forward- thinking production style, Steve Spacek carved out a unique space in the music landscape with this release, seamlessly blending elements of future soul, hip-hop, broken beat, and electronic music. 'Spaceshift' is an exploration of sound, where Spacek's smooth, emotive vocals ride over intricate, bass-heavy beats, glitchy textures, and lush melodies. The album is characterized by it's deep, atmospheric soundscapes, reflecting Steve's fascination with the possibilities of digital production and his ability to infuse warmth and humanity into electronic music. The album features standout tracks like 'Dollar' a critique of materialism with a groove that draws listeners into it's hypnotic rhythm, reimagining of the classic track by Philadelphia soul artist Billy Paul. The album continues to influence contemporary artists, proving the lasting impact of Steve Spacek's innovative approach to music. It is a testament to his vision and a landmark in the evolution of electronic soul music. Spa Recordings is Spacek's new label, and we are proud to present this re-issued version of 'Spaceshift' with a previously never heard before collaboration with the late, great J Dilla on 'This One Feels Alright'.
